Interstate composite wood windows
Just like any other industry, the window world is continuously evolving. First came wood windows, and years later vinyl windows were born. The newer type of window to be developed is the composites. Compositwood is made to provide the look of a natural wood window but without the negatives caused by wood.
The product is composed to have the durability and weather resistance of vinyl. The sashes and frames are made from both a polymer and an acrylic resin to improve the all-around strength. Interstate has also set themselves apart by applying a Supercap finish. The finish helps the product excel in even the harshest of weather conditions. The manufacturer has provided years of testing for this in the severe heat of Arizona and also in Florida which has proven to met or exceeded the AAMA color standards.
The coating allows short-wave energy to pass through but reflects long-wave infrared energy, which lowers the U-value and that means more energy savings. An odorless, colorless, tasteless, non-toxic gas, argon is six times denser than air. It is used to replace air between the glass panes to reduce thermal energy transfer and heat loss.
The operators, locks, and hinges have all been developed to work together to meet or exceed maximum performance requirements. Grids bring a distinctive look to your home. Four grid styles in a variety of color and style combinations offer many choices when selecting grids for your windows. Also, the SuperCap surface layer is integral and fusion-bonded into the profile.

He made a very good sales pitch for this brand, with a lifetime guarantee. But this brand is not listed in the ones you reviewed, even though they have been in business since Do you know anything about this brand and would you recommend it?
I looked on what I believe is their website and found some performance data that is actually pretty impressive. I don't think the composite and vinyl windows are going to be considered top tier like an Okna or Soft-Lite, but I think you'd be right to consider it a solid mid range performer.
I looked at a few website forums and saw that some consumers and installers had an issue with how the windows looked, specifically with the top rail and thickness of the window frame. So assuming you don't have an issue with the overall aesthetics, I don't see why you wouldn't at least consider them. Of course, I'd like to see you get a couple more bids and compare the windows on the performance data.
Thank you. I'd go with one of their better series though. The Revere Berkshire is a solid model as well, a strong mid range vinyl window. Given solid installation from a reputable company, I'd say you should be good. The Preservation is the better window, but not by much. Pricewise, I'll bet these two are much lower.
