Windows 8 locks up after login
The rundll32 command is executed immediately on automatic logon, and locks your PC. This is before executing File Explorer, so is the safest solution without depeneding on external tools. This program locks the desktop before Explorer is started, and it password protects Safe Mode as well. This post is aimed at Windows 8 users, however, all methods should work perfectly on other Windows versions as well.

I never had any bad experiences with Window 7 so far after using it for the last 2 years. It's a pity about Windows 8 as it was starting to grow on me. It good to have the choice OK.
I think there will be a lot of people reporting issues with Windows 8 going forward until at least Microsoft release a service pack for it. Personal I think the OS was pushed out to fast, but that's just my opinion! You are welcome. But why don't you automate the login. There you have to uncheck the little box and enter your password twice.
